Mike Rasimas was the one to beat in the second-half of the MARSS Properties Vacation Rentals 200 at Dover. But the #68 Toyota could not keep up with its driver’s rapid pace, misfiring out of the lead with less than 30 laps to go, and handing the win to Jeff Ward.
Rasimas initially fell to 8th, about 20 seconds behind the leader. He quickly ran down the cars ahead of him and made up 8 seconds on Ward, ultimately finishing 4th. Will C. Farmer and Michael Chrobok rounded out the podium positions.
With the final drop week in effect, Scott Eckrich’s point lead fell from 79 to 58 over Chrobok, still a comfortable margin heading into the finale.
