Woody Mahan attempted the undercut, and Mike Rasimas tried a major overcut, banking on a caution. But when the marbles settled after a 125-lap green flag run, a familiar face came out on top.
Scott Eckrich split the difference between the two contrasting pit calls to execute a winning strategy, taking home the checkered flag in the Route 66 Paint & Wallpaper 200. The victory was Eckrich’s fourth on the season and 22nd of his PGRL career.
Woody Mahan settled for 2nd and points leader Michael Chrobok came home 3rd. Mike Rasimas and Brian Yaczik rounded out the top five. With his result, and the first drop week taking effect, Chrobok’s championship lead stands at 30 markers over Jeff Ward.
