So there’s a race named after you. No big deal if you’re Jeff Ward. The driver of the #9 Chevrolet defended his win in Nashville by capturing yet another checkered flag in Chicago.
A tight setup, with tire conservation key, played to Ward’s strengths. In PGRL’s first caution-free oval race, Ward led a commanding 80 of 134 laps to finish 1.9 seconds ahead of Michael Chrobok. Adam Jurski, Thomas George, and Aaron Bean rounded out the top five.
