Pelletier Pretty Good in PGRL Premiere; Wins GRAAFix eSports 250

Norm Pelletier leads the field en route to the win.

Stormin’ Norm Pelletier put on a show for the fans of his podcast Tuesday night. The Merrimack, NH driver charged from the back to the front three times, passing Jason Franks with two laps to go to claim the first checkered flag in PGRL history.

Racing throughout the 45-car field was pretty good, with 25 lead changes among 13 drivers and plenty of three-wide racing deep in the pack.

GRAAFix eSports 250 pole-sitter Kevin Bartelt experienced an unfortunate mechanical failure coming to take the green flag, but earned the Mahan Speed Laboratories You Finished Last Pole Award for the next event at California. Mike Rasimas, Chad Mikosz, Michael Strohl, and Thomas George found themselves locked in a four-way tie for laps led, each pacing the field for 15 circuits. Scott Eckrich defied the laws of physics, launching to the moon on lap 81, possibly in anticipation of an upcoming memestonks-sponsored race. Mark Hertzog earned the highest result of the non-chartered cars, moving up from the last row to finish 19th.
